When creating content for a website, you’re given a choice of layouts. Each layout represents a different design for your content when displayed on a website. You can choose to use the default layout, or select a different layout.

The layout of your page is controlled by the page type that is selected to create the page. If your page type is mapped to more than one layout, you can choose a different layout by using the site manager. Your website developer can add new layouts, but this process needs to be managed in a collaborative process between your website designer, manager, and developer.

The layout section is displayed on a content form only when its content type is mapped to a layout. If there are no layout mappings for the content type that was used to create your content, or if your developer removes any previous mappings, then the layout section isn’t displayed. If your previously selected layout was removed by your developer, the default layout is used instead. If you don't want to use the default layout, you can select a different layout if there’s one available.
