Learn how to share audiences to other products using Exchange.
Maybe you created a journey report and identified a really interesting segment of customers, for example those that abandoned a high value cart in the last two weeks. You want to export that segment to Acoustic™ Campaign to target those customers with a new email campaign.
You can share an audience with another product using Exchange. First, make sure your audience is present in the Audience manager. Open the options menu for the audience you want to export, and click Make public.
Now log in to Exchange. From the left navigation, click Share audiences and identifiers. Select Share an audience and click Next. Under Source Audience, expand Acoustic, then Analytics. You should see all your public audiences listed. If you don’t see your audience listed, you may need to click Refresh the list of available source and destination audiences.
Under Destination audience, choose the product that you want to export to. You can either replace or append to an existing audience, or create a new audience. When you are satisfied with your selections, move on to the next step.
You will see the Map source to destination step. Use the default values for Source database and Destination database. If you are exporting from Analytics, the Source identifier will always be x1Id, which is the unique identifier Analytics uses to distinguish between your customers. You will need to choose a Destination identifier. The Destination identifier will determine unique members of your audience in the destination application. If you are exporting to Campaign, for example, you probably want to use email as the destination identifier.
You can schedule your audience to share immediately or for a specific date. Analytics does not currently support scheduled reports or audience creation, so you will need to share each audience manually.
On the Select delivery options step, you have the option to decide how changes to an existing audience should be managed. If you are creating a new audience, all you need to do is click Share.
If your destination is properly linked to Exchange as a subscriber endpoint, you should see your new audience in that application’s audience manager.
