The Attention Map overlay illustrates what portions of the screen most visitors can see. The Attention Map identifies the areas that are most consistently displayed on the visitor's screen by using a color-banding mechanism.
The colors are applied to a vertical portion of the screen. The Attention Map overlay does not display any color banding until the page has been seen by at least one visitor. You can filter the data on the overlay by any dimensions that are associated with the data.
Horizontal visibility is not represented in the Attention map.
Avg Fold Line
The Attention Map overlay shows the Avg Fold line. This line is the average viewing height of the page area that all users and all sessions can see without scrolling.
The area above the fold line is the area that most of the users viewed in their sessions. The Avg Fold line helps you identify the area on the page of most interest to the user and where to place information that you want the user to access quickly.
