Most of your customers have one thing with them all day, every day. One thing they look at and check regularly – their smartphones. SMS messaging is a great way for you to connect with your customers on the device they use the most. But after you send that SMS message, you need to understand how it performed to make your future marketing decisions better.
For example, last month, you sent multiple SMS messages and you're curious how they performed overall. You create an SMS report and set the date range to include only the last month. You are interested in seeing all of the SMS messages you sent, so you don't need to add any other filters. You go into your Link Performance table and see that there are definitely some links that performed better than others, and you wonder why. You see that your link to your "Best watch of the year!" SMS message that included a 20% off code performed much better than the link in your SMS message that said "Check out our watch series to track your fitness." Even though the link in both messages was the same, you discover that your first message resonated with your users more and encouraged higher click rates. Through this, you learn more about your users and the messaging that appeals most to them.
To track links in Performance Insights, you must use the link shortened provided by Acoustic Campaign. Find more information on the Acoustic Campaign link shortening service here.
