There are two editions of Exchange: Essentials and Standard. Each edition offers a robust selection of features that are designed to help you reach your business goals.
Essentials vs. Standard edition
If you are subscribed to the Essentials edition, you can create real-time data exchanges across Exchange applications and Exchange Business Partner applications. As always, Exchange + Exchange data exchanges are no charge from Acoustic. If you need to use one of the many Business Partner applications integrated with Exchange, you can draw on your substantial data exchange unit allotment to exchange data across platforms.
The Standard edition gives you everything Essentials does and more. With Standard, you can exchange data with any platform in any configuration across Exchange, Business Partner, and client-owned applications.
Like in Essentials, if you exchange data with a Business Partner or one of your client-owned applications, it uses your data exchange unit allotment. In Standard, you get even more units than in Essentials, so you are covered to exchange data with any external solution.
Data usage
Your data usage information is available after the first month of your subscription term. You can review this information in Data plan.
Data projection
Calculate how many exchange units you'll need in the future. The data usage projection and the usage summary are available after the first month of your subscription term. You can review this information in the Data plan.
Data exchanges
Data exchanges include events or audiences exchanged between Exchange, business partner, and client-owned applications. Number of exchanges shows the total number of subscriptions to the Acoustic Exchange + Other events and the total number (rows of data) of the Acoustic Exchange + Other audience shares.
An "exchange unit" includes a single event or single audience record.
A non-Exchange data exchange includes any combination between Exchange, business partner, and client-owned applications. It excludes Acoustic Exchange + Acoustic Exchange exchanges.
Data limits
If you are near your data limit or exceed it, you'll get a notification in Exchange.
Data pause
If you exceed your data exchange limit, your data exchanges are paused. Data exchanges are not stored or processed during the inactivity period. They will resume after you authorize overages, upgrade your edition, or when the new billing cycle starts. Exchange + Exchange data exchanges are not paused.
