Facebook for business provides businesses with more insight regarding how to use Facebook to meet their advertising needs.

Complete the following steps to configure Facebook for business:

1. Go to the Facebook for Business website.
2. Click Create Account.
3. Log in or sign up for Facebook using your personal login if you already have one.
4. Enter your email or phone number and Facebook password.
5. Click Create Account.
6. Enter your business name and Continue.
7. Enter your business name, and then click Finish.

You need your account that is associated to the business account to access this functionality.

Note: "Ad Account" must be owned by the same Business Account. This is what gets completed in the 6th step above, "Enter your business name and Continue." The Ad Account cannot be owned by another Facebook Business Account.

Add an ad account for Facebook for Business

The first step in configuring Facebook for Business is adding an ad account.
Complete the following steps to add an ad account for Facebook for Business:

1. Find the Account ID. Use this ID to claim your Claim your Ad Account. (The Account ID can be found in the Ad Manager Accounts list or in the URL of the Ad Manager.)
2. Go to the Ad Account option.
3. Click Create a new ad account.
4. Enter your ad account name, and verify all of the information for the account.
5. Click Create ad account.

There is then a warning that you can not remove an ad account in Business Manager after it is added. You must check the box to complete the set-up. Then, you can claim an existing ad account, request access or create a new one.

Claim an ad account in Facebook for Business

The second step in configuring Facebook for Business is claiming an ad account.
Complete the following steps to claim ad account for Facebook for Business:

1. Click the Add new ad account menu.
2. Select Request access to an add account.
3. Fill in each form and check the warning box for understanding that you cannot remove an ad account after it is claimed.
4. Click Claim ad account.

Claiming an ad account moves the account to business manager.

Request access to a Facebook for Business ad account

The third step in configuring Facebook for Business is requesting access to an ad account.
Complete the following steps to request access to an ad account for Facebook for Business:

1. On the Business Manager Settings page, click Request access to an ad account.
2. Enter the ad account ID or follow the steps to request access.
3. Click OK.
