Viewing the web tracking code
The web tracking code generates the webSyncID, which is a unique identifier for each visitor to your tracked sites. The code Stores the webSyncId in a first-party Web (browser) cookie and records the web page visits and clicks. The code automatically rewrites URLs to include tracking identifiers when visitor clicks from one tracked Web site to another.
Perform the following steps to get the web tracking code.
- The Org Admin can copy your organization's unique code from the web tracking code field in the Web Tracking Settings.
- Org Admins can complete the following steps to get your organization's web tracking code.
- Open Web Tracking Settings from Organization Settings.
- Expand the Web Tracking Settings, scroll down to the Web Tracking Code section, and then copy the web tracking code and if needed, the meta code.
Note: Depending on your browser, the maximum field length for a Web Tracking URL is up to 1024 characters. The maximum name is up to 500 characters. Acoustic Campaign generates a unique URL for each organization.
