Import a relational table
- Navigate to Data > Import New and import your database file as follows.
- Provide a unique name.
- Choose a location (Private or Shared).
- Select Relational Table from the drop down menu.
- Restricted Database is selected, and is the only option for a relational table.
- Choose to Upload a file from local hard drive or Select a file from Stored Files, and click Browse to locate the file you want to use (CSV, PSV, or TSV files are supported).
- Click Next.
- Check the box next to First row contains field names.
Make sure your file has field names in the first row as you will not be able to create field names later.
- Optional: select Date Field Formatting.
- Click Next.
- Select the field type for each table field from the drop-down.
- Click Next.
- (Optional) Click Edit Unique Identifiers to make changes to unique identifier(s) for your table.
The value in the field (or combination of fields) chosen as the unique identifier(s) must be unique for each row in the table.
- Click Next.
- Select Submit Job.
Next, associate the table to your Acoustic Campaign database.
Update a relational table
- Have your CSV, TSV, or PSV file with the updated records available for upload.
- Log in to Acoustic Campaign and go to Data > Import Update.
- Change the Choose Import Update Type selector to Relational Table.
- Click Select Table to select the relational table that you want to update.
- Select the radio button to indicate if you are Adding Only, Updating Only, Adding and Updating, or Replacing records.
- Choose the correct file type: CSV, TSV or PSV.
- Locate the file that you are uploading and click Next.
- Check the box next to First row contains field names if the first row in the file contains field names.
- Choose how your dates appear on the imported file.
- Click Next.
- Ensure that each field from the file is mapped to the correct relational table field.
- Click Next.
- Click Next again.
- Submit.
