Data used in a programs behavior query and rules are kept active for a limited period of time. These limits apply to all existing and new organizations managed at the admin level.
- Program behavior time frames used in queries and program rules expire after 450 days from a contact's program exit date. When you edit an existing query or rule, the retention limits reverts to a default value.
- Current contact status information is stored for up to 180 days (default) after a contact exits a program. To increase this period up to 450 days, contact client support.
- Export all contacts is not subject to retention limits as it includes contacts currently in the program.
- Rules in program actions maintain the organization's behavior data retention limits like in queries.
Automatic program deactivation
Programs that don't have contacts entering or moving within the program flow are automatically deactivated after 450 days. Before this happens, the last user who modified it and principal administrator will receive a notification. To avoid automatic deactivation, you can reset the last activation date by deactivating and activating the program manually.
If you expected contacts entering and flowing in the program, but are not seeing any, check if the program rules are set up correctly to allow contacts to enter and move through the program.
Note: Inactive programs created in 2015 or before, that have not been active or modified in the past 450 days will be permanently deleted. If you need these older programs to reactivate, you can make a new copy.

If the time frame entered is longer than 450 days, you will see an Invalid value entered error message. In such a case, change the value in the Time frame field to 450 days or less.
