The Fast Campaign Integration, FCI, is a highly specialized configuration of the Unica Campaign and Acoustic Campaign integration. Built around the bulk upload of contacts and mass messaging in a relatively short time, this configuration prioritizes speed over features and functionality. 

Similar to the standard Unica Campaign - Acoustic Campaign integration, data flows from Unica Campaign to Acoustic Campaign, where digital marketers can communicate to customers through email, personalize and track customer interactions, and protect sensitive personal data. Where the Fast Campaign Integration differs from the standard Unica Campaign - Acoustic Campaign integration is in its use and creation of specialized databases.

Before configuring a flowchart in Unica Campaign, you configure a Database Template in the Acoustic Campaign. A Database Template is, as the name suggests, a template for a database in the Acoustic Campaign. The Database Template contains no contacts but comprises the column structure used for template personalization, Dynamic Content rule building, and more. A new Audience Database is created in Acoustic Campaign when a Unica Campaign flowchart run is initiated. This Audience Database has the same structure as the specified Database Template and is populated with data from Unica Campaign. Acoustic Campaign then uses the Audience Database to send email campaigns.

Limitations of the Fast Campaign Integration

FCI Acoustic Campaign sacrifices some functionality for speed to achieve the bulk contact upload, expedited database creation, and high volume sending that some business cases require.

Data storage

Due to record-keeping and database restrictions in the Fast Campaign Integration, Audience Databases and Sent Email records are automatically deleted from the product 30 days after their creation. Take precautions to save this data for your records.
