In the case of dynamic content, seed list recipients are the same as regular list recipients. If the seed list recipient meets the criteria stipulated by the rule, they receive the relevant content. Seed list contacts might receive a different version of the email only if the seed list field name matches the dynamic content field name. Because of how the dynamic content field name is configured in , the field name that you see in your database might differ from the field name on back-end. As a result, the field names might not match.
The issue is that most seed lists include only an Email field and aren't tailored to the dynamic content that the email is assigned to. This situation often results in contacts receiving messages with the default content.
To accurately gauge how well dynamic content is working in your emails, you can perform the following actions:
- Perform a regular send to a query contact source by using a few contacts with varying field data.
- Introduce the same fields and data to your seed list and its recipients.
