View your SMS metrics and how each metric is calculated for your report to understand how your SMS campaigns perform.
Metric | Definition | Calculation |
Sent (count) | The total number of SMS messages sent. | Sent = Count of SMS Send events when [deliveryStatus=Sent] |
Delivered | The total number of SMS messages delivered. | Delivered = Count of SMS delivered events when [deliveryStatus=Delivered] |
Failed |
The total number of SMS messages that were sent from Acoustic Campaign, but failed to be delivered to the handset. |
Failed = Count of SMS failed events when [deliveryStatus=Failed] |
No delivery status |
This is the number of SMS messages that have no delivery status, this does not mean that they were not delivered or failed to send. A message sent may have no delivery status because of many reasons, the most common include the carrier or aggregator didn’t provide back a status, or the message had multiple parts, and we received status for some of those parts but not all. |
No delivery status = Total sent - total delivered - total failed |
Click rate (unique) | The number of unique clicks as a percentage of the number of messages delivered. | Click rate (unique) = (Number of unique clicks / Number of failed) x 100 |
Delivery rate | The delivery rate for the SMS messages that were delivered. | Delivery rate = (Sent - Failed) / Total sent) |
Note: SMS reporting is not meant to be used for billing comparisons because numbers will vary. Automated replies and messages sent via the transactional SMS APIs (Transactional SMS REST API and Transactional SMS external consent REST API) are not counted in performance insights reports but are counted in billing reports.
