Configuring session attribute search

cxReveal provides the ability to search for sessions by session attribute.

When configured session attributes are detected in a visitor session, those attributes and other session-related information are inserted into the cxReveal database (TL_SEARCH) where they are immediately available for search. Through session attribute search, cxReveal users can access visitor sessions quickly and immediately after they have been created.

Note: Session attribute search is a component of cxReveal, a separately licensed component of the Tealeaf CX platform. For more information, contact your Tealeaf representative.

After the cxReveal database and pipeline are installed, additional configuration is required.

The Event Bus

To deliver session attribute information from your Canisters to the cxReveal server for processing, you must enable and configure the Event Bus.

Note: The Event Bus is a component of cxConnect for Data Analysis, a separately licensed product. For more information, contact your Tealeaf representative.

cxReveal type search templates

Search templates that are used to search the cxReveal database require that you use a separate type of template from cxImpact search templates.
