After you configure the cxVerify server, you can create your first cxVerify task.
The following steps show how to create a simple cxVerify Session File task.
- Log in to the Portal as an administrator.

From the Portal menu, navigate to cxVerify.
The cxVerify page opens and displays the list of scheduled tasks.
- In the left navigation pane, click Configured Tasks.
- Click the
+
sign. - On the General tab, complete the following steps:
- Enter a value for the task Name.
For example, enter
test_task
. - For Scheduling, click Run Now.
- For the Extract parameters, enter a time period when you know
that session data was generated.
For testing purposes, limit yourself to a one-hour period. Do not overlap dates for this test. Verify that Extract From and Extract To values define a one-hour period that occurred some time in the past when session data was likely captured.
- Check the Active check box.
- Enter a value for the task Name.
- On the Servers tab, select the check box next to the server from which to extract
sessions.
If multiple servers are listed, select only a single server.
- On the Destination tab, select Selective Archive and select one of
the options.
This is the location to which you export the sessions.
- On the Notifications tab, click To and enter your email address.
- Click Save.
