Endpoints that receive event data from Acoustic Exchange are considered event destinations. After you receive event data through Acoustic Exchange, you can use your business systems to interpret and apply the data to address your business needs.
When you subscribe to an event, Acoustic Exchange and the event destination endpoint establish the authentication required to authorize the event publisher to automatically send event notifications to Acoustic Exchange. Depending on the event publisher, event notification might occur after a short processing delay. If the destination endpoint is installed as part of a local network, sometimes called an On Prem application, Acoustic Exchange supports downloading event data periodically with the Acoustic Exchange Toolkit.
In Acoustic Exchange, go to the Events tab to view details about event destination endpoints that are active in your Acoustic Exchange account and the event notifications that they receive.
- The Path view provides a list of current event subscriptions in your Acoustic Exchange account. Each subscription includes a link to details about each event subscriber and the event notifications it receives.
- The Table view tab provides a list of the event types to which you have subscribed, the event publishers included in each subscription, and a link to a description of the subscribed event and event attributes.
