To send cart abandonment data from Digital Analytics to Campaign, Digital Analytics must be registered as an endpoint.
Ensure that you are signed in to your Exchange account.
Use the following procedure to register Digital Analytics as an Endpoint.
- From the Dashboard tab, navigate to the Endpoints tab.
- On the Endpoints tab, a list of all currently registered endpoints is displayed. To register Digital Analytics, select Register new endpoint in the upper left corner of the tab. The endpoint registration wizard is displayed.
- The endpoint registration wizard lists all available endpoints. Select Digital Analytics from the list and then select Next.
- Enter the Digital Analytics user ID, password and client ID for the Digital Analytics account you want the endpoint registered with. Note that the user ID and password provided must be for a user with administrator access.
- Select Register.
Note: The Digital Analytics endpoint appears as pending until Exchange provisioning completes the endpoint registration process.
Latency in Digital Analytics
The latency of customer data flowing from Digital Analytics to Exchange, and by extension Campaign, is directly related to the length of time it takes to trigger a session timeout.
During the Digital Analytics provisioning process, you can configure the length of time for user inactivity on a page before a session timeout is triggered. When the session timeout is triggered, Digital Analytics sends the cart activity data to Exchange. It is important to note that a session timeout is set to 30 minutes by default.
