View the web tracking summary
You can view all of your online web tracking metrics in the reporting area. This report provides high-level reporting on site visits by known visits. The Web Tracking Summary report combines your landing pages data and your web tracking data, allowing you to view and compare selected site data from your landing pages and web sites in one location, including site, page, visitor, and source information.
The Web Tracking Summary Report provides high-level information on tracked events on a web-tracked domain. Metrics include:
- Top Site Pages - This section displays the most visited pages and displays the Page Name and gross total of Page Views from an IP address.
- Visits by Source - This section displays the Total Visits by source from new and unique visitors. If the source of the visit is from a tracked email, the email's name will be listed individually. Direct visits represent visits from a web browser and not a tracked email.
- Visits by Type (New / Returning) - Visits by type (New/Returning): This section presents data for New Visitors and Returning Visitors.
- Known Visitors - These visitors have clicked a tracked link and or have performed an identifying action.
Note: Anonymous visits are not rolled-up for reporting even though the section still appears on the report.
When a contact or anonymous visitor goes to your web site, Campaign tracks it as an open or view and displays the data in the Web Tracking - Summary report. You can access data on contact visits to Campaign landing pages under Web Sites - All Sites - Summary.
Web tracking report in the single mailing report
This report presents metrics for clickthrough data from clickstream enabled mailings to web tracked pages.
WebTrackingDataExport XML API
Exports raw web tracking events for all visitors. You may specify which events to be exported. Anonymous visitors are not included in the WebTrackingDataExport report. This is because these visitors have not agreed to have their information tracked. So while they are reported as a total, details on individuals is not available. It may be possible to compare your own server logs against the report to learn more about them.
