The Acoustic Campaign integration with SugarCRM is built upon a design requirement that only Leads and Contacts who have the Sync To Acoustic Campaign checked are be added or updated to Acoustic Campaign. During implementation, most clients have an existing population of Leads or Contacts to be added to the Acoustic Campaign. This field can be checked within SugarCRM Lead or Contact form but is impractical for a large number of records.
One of the techniques to mass update a field for existing records in SugarCRM is by exporting a SugarCRM report that includes the ID, Sync to Acoustic Campaign, Last Name, and whatever other fields you may have as required during a SugarCRM import/update process. Change the 'Sync to Acoustic Campaign' value to a 1 and reimport the CSV file and allow it to match on ID.
Follow these tips during the process:
- SugarCRM'Checkbox type fields are by default not included in the native 'Mass Update' action available in the SugarCRM List View. Check with your SugarCRM Administrator for more information.
- For SugarCRM report, export, or import support, check with your SugarCRM administrator or SugarCRM Support.
- For the Lead module, 'Converted' leads are filtered out via the Scribe Online mappings and not added to Acoustic Campaign. Exclude converted CRM Leads from the mass update.
- Reversing a synchronized Lead or Contact is not supported. Once you select the Sync to Acoustic Campaign, it cannot be cleared. Never perform a mass update or otherwise that would change the Sync to Acoustic Campaign from 1 to a 0 (Checked to Unchecked). This will cause the corresponding record in the Acoustic Campaign to become out of sync.
