Read through the following section to understand how the Scribe Admin updates the existing Scribe maps to allow bi-directional syncing. One map has Acoustic Campaign as the source and Microsoft Dynamics CRM as the target. The other map has Microsoft Dynamics CRM as the source and Acoustic Campaign as the target.
- Source fields update only records that are modified since the last run date specified.
- Target fields must accept updates only if a matching lead record exists.
Complete the following steps to update the existing Scribe maps and allow bi-directional syncing.
- Update the Engage to MSCRM map. In this step, update the existing Opt-Out Lead or Contact Scribe map, where Acoustic Campaign is the source and Microsoft Dynamics CRM is the target.
- In Scribe, go to the Maps tab.
- Click to open an existing Engage to MSCRM default Opt-out map:
- Select one of the following maps (depending on the record type you are updating)
- Map 2) Acoustic Campaign to MSCRM Opt_Out Lead.
- Map 3) Acoustic Campaign to MSCRM Opt_Out Contact
- Update the following settings:
- Rename the map Name. For example, Acoustic Campaign to MSCRM Opt_Out Lead bi-direction.
- Change the Description to identify it is mapped bi-directionally.
- In the Source field, select your Acoustic Campaign connection.
- Select the Process only records created or updated since last run... option.
- Verify LAST_MODIFIED_TIME_START is selected so the system updates records that are modified since the last run date specified.
- For the Target field, select your Microsoft Dynamic CRM connection.
- Under Operation, select Update if exists.
- Under the Match field, select the field that you are mapping to in CRM.
- Select one of the following maps (depending on the record type you are updating)
- Click Save Map.
- Update the MSCRM to Acoustic Campaign map. In this step, update the existing MSCRM to Acoustic Campaign Scribe map, where Engage is the source and MS Dynamics CRM is the target.
- In Scribe, go to the Maps tab.
- Create a bi-directional map based on an existing MSCRM to Acoustic Campaign default maps:
- Select one of the following maps (depending on if it is a Lead or a Contact record).
- Map 4) MSCRM to Acoustic Campaign Lead
- Map 5) MSCRM to Acoustic Campaign Contact
- Update the following settings:
- Rename the Name field.
- Change the Description to identify it is mapped bi-directionally.
- In the Source field, select your MS Dynamic CRM connection.
- Select the Process only records created or updated since last run... option.
- Verify LAST_MODIFIED_TIME_START is selected so the system updates the records that are modified since the last run date specified.
- In the Target field, select your Acoustic Campaign connection.
- In the Operation field, select Update.
- In the Match field, select the field that you are mapping to in Engage.
- Select one of the following maps (depending on if it is a Lead or a Contact record).
- Click Save Map.
