A personalized compliance statement is also known as a general disclaimer. Only the organization administrator can change the CAN-SPAM compliance statement in your email that is specific for your organization. You can then add that compliance statement to your emails.
To add the personalized compliance statement to your email, complete the following steps:
- In the email body, click where you want to add the disclaimer.
- Click the Personalization icon.
- From the list, select the General_Disclaimer field.
- The placeholder appears in the format
%%[HTML_GENERAL_DISCLAIMER]%%
until you send the email. For text bodies, the placeholder is%%[TEXT_GENERAL_DISCLAIMER]%%

When contacts view or open the email, they see the full disclaimer.
