Users whose accounts contain the proper permissions may administer Tealeaf reports. Depending on the type of report, permissions to administer individual reports of that type are configured in the report definition.
Setting access permissions for individual scorecards
Available through cxView, scorecards enable the graphical display of KPI or process data through the Portal. Scorecards can be administered by any user with permissions to configure scorecards. Any individual who can configure scorecards can administer any available scorecard, including deleting it.
Access to individual scorecards is defined in the Configuring Scorecards page.
- To configure scorecards, in the Portal menu, select Configure > Scorecards.
- In the left panel, select the type of scorecard.
The list of available scorecards for the selected type is displayed.
- Select a scorecard and click the pencil icon.
- Click the Permissions tab.
- In the Permissions tab, configure the user groups that are permitted to see the scorecard.
- To save changes, click Save.
Setting access permissions for individual dashboards
Available through cxView, dashboards enable the graphical display of scorecards and other reporting components in one or more tabs through the Portal. Dashboards can be administered by any user with permission to configure dashboards, or a specific dashboard. Any individual who can configure an individual dashboards can delete it.
For example, if the dashboard contains scorecards, you must have permissions to view each scorecard, as well as access to the scorecard feature in the Portal. The same applies to Report Builder and Top Mover components of dashboards.
The steps below define how to how to enable access permissions to an individual dashboard. The following permissions are also required:
- Access to the Dashboard menu, which is governed through cxView groups
- Access to the individual dashboard
- Access to the menu item for viewing any dashboard component inside the report
- Access to the individual report components in the dashboard
Permissions to administer an individual dashboard are defined in the Configuring Dashboards page.
- To configure dashboards, in the Portal menu, select Configure > Dashboards.
- In the left panel, click Dashboards.
The list of available dashboards is displayed.
- Select the dashboard and click the pencil icon.
- Click the Permissions tab.
- In the left panel, you can configure the user groups that are permitted to administer the dashboard.
- In the right panel, you can configure the user groups that are permitted to see the dashboard. Users in these groups can also save the dashboard as a different name. As the creator of the copied dashboard, the user is automatically an administrator for it.
- To save changes, click Save.
Setting access permissions for individual reports
The Tealeaf Report Builder enables the configuration and display of event and ratio data with dimensional data optionally applied to segment the report.
In the Report Builder, individual reports can be configured to permit administration privileges to selected user groups.
- The owner of a report can always administer it.
- Reports provided by Tealeaf cannot be edited. However, they can be saved as a separate reports and then modified.
- From the Portal menu, select Analyze > Report Builder.
- Select the report and click Open.
- In the toolbar, click the Permissions icon.
- The Report Access Permissions dialog is displayed.
- In the left panel, you can select the user groups that are permitted to administer the report.
- In the left panel, you can select the user groups that are permitted to use the report.
- To save changes, click Save.
Setting access permissions for individual segments
Individual users can share session segments that they have created with other users that can access the Session Segments page. Segments that are shared can be used and deleted by all users. To administer session segments, you must have access to the Session Segments page.
Session segments can be created in either of two ways:
- automatically created based on the results of a Portal search
- imported through the Segment Builder Service
- In the Portal menu, select Analyze > Segments > Manage Session Segments.
- Right-click the segment to share and select Share.
The segment is now available to all users.
