On-demand privacy must be configured on the Experience Analytics server that is
the authentication master, typically the Portal server. On-demand privacy is a feature of Search
Server and is configured through Search server configuration by using the
SearchConfig.exe
tool in the Experience Analytics install directory of the
authentication master server.
Before you begin, you might want to upload privacy configuration files to the authentication
master server. On-demand privacy uses the same configuration file format as other forms of Experience Analytics privacy. You should copy at least one Privacy.cfg
file to the
following directory on the authentication master server:
<install_directory>\System
The Search Server configuration tool examines this directory to look for available privacy configuration files. Any .cfg file that is properly formatted for privacy configuration is available for use in on-demand privacy.
If you do not have direct access to this server, you can use the Put File command in the TMS Advanced tab to place the configuration files in the Experience Analytics install directory.
-
After you upload the appropriate configuration files, double-click
<install_directory>\SearchConfig.exe.
The external Search Config utility is displayed.
- Under Domain Local Groups, click Modify.
-
Under Authentication Type, verify that
NT Authentication
orPortal Authentication
is enabled.
