The Contrast Analytics overlay evaluates difficulties users might encounter when they view items on a website due to a lack of contrast between the foreground text and the background color. Contrast Analytics uses pins to signify violations of WCAG2.0 standards on cxOverstat-enabled web pages, and determines where the contrast issue is located.
A contrast ratio of 4.5 or greater is necessary to avoid being pinpointed as a violation by the Contrast Analytics overlay. The overlay indicates where there are potential problems with the contrast ratio.
Accessibility issues appear as pins signifying a violation. Click the pin to expand and view the issue in greater detail. To access the help section, select the pin that you are working with and click Show Details. To analyze the color contrast issues in depth, click Analyze Colors. This takes you to the Color Contrast Analyser.
Use the Color Contrast Analyser to test which foreground and background color combinations work on your website. Move the cursor within the Color Contrast Analyser tool to preview different options for the foreground and background colors on the selected violation. Your adjustments appear on the snapshot of the selected page, and the Pass/Fail indicator changes based on the colors you test.
Use the Autocorrect Changes button to automatically correct the violation by changing it to a color combination that passes.
