This article is dedicated to users that have been using Legacy Digital Analytics. If you have been working only with NextGen you don't have to read it.
Q: What is the new SFTP default export and import location for NextGen?
US: ftp.digitalanalytics-us-1.goacoustic.com
EU: ftp.digitalanalytics-eu-1.goacoustic.com
Use the same username and password you used with ftp.coremetrics.com.
Please reach out to support for credentials if you run into an obstacle.
Q: Are exports from Legacy migrating to NextGen and being sent to the new SFTP location?
A: No, you need to recreate the exports in NextGen and point them to the desired SFTP location(s). Only those created before 2017 have been synced to the new UI.
Q: Some of my Customer Record Feeds include special attributes as output values. Will I need to recreate these in NextGen?
A: Yes. Please Navigate to Build > Export > Customer Record Feed > Configure Data. Note the various field categories are expandable. Upon expanding, you'll see attributes roll up to their corresponding categories. For example, product view attributes are available under Merchandising/Products).
Q: When had current LIVEmail Best Practice and ESP stopped running?
A: The feeds coming from legacy export LIVEmail were turned off in October 2020.
Q: I am subscribed to LIVEmail, thus the Legacy UI Activity and Customer Record Feeds include the email address as a key. Will this be added to the new UI?
A: Yes, this is currently being added to the UI and will be available in August.
Q: Is my Legacy Enterprise Dashboard Client ID available in NextGen?
A: There's no reporting available in legacy Enterprise Dashboard Client IDs.
Q: Do we expect the new UI to have calculated metrics (the ability to combine standard metrics using math)?
A: Yes, this is currently available for ad-hoc reports in the new UI. Click the calculator icon next to "Metrics" when creating an ad-hoc report. Your calculated metric will appear in the list of available metrics to apply to a report.
Q: Were existing True Path and Click Stream Reports from legacy migrated to the new UI?
A: No. Those reports needed to be recreated.
Q: What happened to Custom Marketing Channels in NextGen?
A: Channels were copied to NextGen several years ago. If you've not been active in NextGen, you should have confirmed your custom marketing channels through Admin. You can also analyze categorization by reviewing the Marketing Channels standard report and validating the "All Other MMCs" row to ensure that uncategorized are represented correctly.
Q: How does NextGen handle upper, lower, and mixed case MMC Vendors?
A: NextGen displays Vendors in the case that they were received. Legacy did some transition to the upper case.
That said in NextGen you might see google, GOOGLE, and Google whereas in Legacy you only saw GOOGLE. Note that this can also impact the Channel Summary File in DDF Export as well as Custom Marketing Channels.
Q: Is the Real-Time Monitor available in NextGen?
A: Real-Time Dashboards were launched in July to replace Monitor (aka Real-Time Monitor). These are interactive dashboards that users can customize. The first release of Dashboards has some differences from Legacy which are part of the roadmap including Top 10 products instead of top 100, with no ability to filter or sort. We will add these capabilities soon.
Q: Are Extra Fields (not attributes, custom fields) still collected, stored, and processed after October 2020?
A: Extra fields are not collected, stored, or processed after September 1. These extra fields have populated standard data export, which is not supported after September 1.
Q: Did Custom Tags stopped being collected, stored, and processed after the transition?
A: Custom tags are not collected, stored, or processed after September 1st. These custom tags populate custom reports and exports, which are no longer supported after September 1st.
Q: Were backend settings (such as IP blocking, ABC bot/spider lists, URL whitelists) transitioned to the new UI?
A: This is not currently supported but is being implemented. These backend settings will apply to both legacy and the new UI by July 31st.
Q: Is the Implementation Test Tool (ITT) available after October 2020?
A: ITT is no longer available. You are still able to use the Tagbar and your test environment. There are other tools outside of Acoustic, like Fiddler, that you can check for your testing needs.
Q: Does TEST reports support Real-Time Monitor, Intra Day Reporting (and any other features meant to replace RTM and Explore LIVE)?
A: No, test Client IDs do not support the real-time dashboard or intraday reporting.
Q: In Legacy Explore there was a defect where segmentation with lists of OR statements was handled as AND statements. Has this been corrected in NextGen?
A: Yes. This means that you will see different (correct) results when comparing any migrated reports from Explore with lists of OR statements.
