The real-time dashboard delivers data in real-time. Digital Analytics provides a configurable set of dashboards that stream customer information directly to you, visually attractive and comprehensively.
You can add any combinations of widgets and labels to the dashboard as if you were sketching scenarios on a whiteboard, only with real streaming data.
Note: Most Digital Analytics clients use a session timeout rule of 30 minutes (the industry standard). This means that if a visitor makes a click after 30 minutes or more of inactivity, that click initiates a new session. Therefore, if you choose a value other than 30 minutes, you may see data inconsistencies between this application and other Digital Analytics reports.
Create a Real-time dashboard
- Click Create (+) in the Dashboards panel and then click Real-time. If you are creating a dashboard for the first time, click Create Dashboards in the Dashboards view and then click Real-time.
- Enter a name.
- Drag and drop to add widgets from the Create dashboards panel.
Widgets let you quickly view specific sets of data in your dashboard. They are automatically generated and updated when you add them. For example, you can have as many instances of the following widgets in a view as needed:
- Report shows detailed information for Conversion Events, Marketing Programs, Products, Search Engines, and Marketing Vendors. You can also see a list of the most recent results for selected metrics in the Recent Items report.
- KPI shows a graphical representation of selected KPIs from your Top Line Metrics. They can be visualized as a trend line, cumulative trend line, hourly bar chart, progress bar, or number.
- Text allows you to add explanatory labels.
- Conversion Funnel represents your site's session conversions, showing how visitors are progressing through your site's primary conversion points in real-time.
After you click the Create button, your dashboard is added to the My dashboards folder under the Real-time folder.
You can click the widget's three-dot menu to select customize, copy, or delete.
