Global SMS campaigns can be a time saver when it comes to creating multiple campaigns with dedicated short codes and 10-digit long codes. A global campaign will regulate the opt-out behavior (global stop), the request for help behavior (global help), and respond to any unexpected keywords (global catch-all) for all campaigns operating with the same code.
Once you own a dedicated code, it is assigned only to the organization (or multiple organizations) you own as well.
Types of global campaigns
Global stop
Each code can have one global stop campaign unique to that code, or used for all codes provisioned for your organization.
A global stop (or opt-out) campaign responds to any specified stop (or opt-out) keywords with an SMS message and opts out the user. After the end user sends the stop/opt-out keywords defined in this campaign, they are opted out of all campaigns for this code.
Global help
Each code can have one global help campaign unique to that code, or used for all codes provisioned for your organization.
A global help campaign responds to any specified help (or opt-out) keywords with a previously created SMS message.
Global catch-all
Each code can have one global stop catch-all unique to that code, or used for all codes provisioned for your organization.
Global catch-all campaign responds to all unspecified keywords sent to a specific code with a previously created SMS message.
Note: Shared codes don’t allow catch-all campaigns.
