Once an automated program is deleted in Acoustic Campaign, it cannot be restored. Program deletion is permanent and there are no recovery options available — including on Acoustic's backend. There are no recovery snapshots or archival systems for deleted programs.
What is permanently removed when a program is deleted
- The program itself and all its settings
- Any associated reports and reporting metrics
- Historical data linked to that program
What to do if a program has been deleted
If you need to recover a deleted program's functionality, you will need to recreate it manually using your own documentation and any external records you have maintained.
How to prevent accidental deletion
Pause instead of delete: If you no longer need a program but want to retain its reference data, pause it rather than deleting it. This preserves the program history and reporting data while making it inactive.
Use naming conventions: Add prefixes such as ARCHIVE_ or OLD_ to program names you plan to deactivate. This makes them visually distinct from active programs and reduces the risk of accidental deletion.
Document program logic: Keep detailed documentation of your program workflows, triggers, and settings in a separate system so you can recreate them if needed.
Export regularly: Periodically export program configurations and reports to external storage as backup documentation.
