ReCAPTCHA is a universally recognized authentication standard that prevents lowering your database quality by fraudulent activities, spam, and abuse. Acoustic Forms use the reCAPTCHA v2 standard.
Note: This article shows how to add a reCAPTCHA widget in the forms composer. If you're using classic web forms, go to this article: Import a web form and read the section "Adding Google reCAPTCHA 2 to imported web forms".
Before you begin
To use reCAPTCHA in the forms composer, you need to sign up for an API key pair for the website (domain) you're going to publish your form on. Go to Register a new website in Google reCAPTCHA or get a widget overview on Google developers guide.
Add a reCAPTCHA widget to a form
- Select a standard form draft from the listing page or create a new standard form.
- Select a reCAPTCHA form block, drag and drop it onto the composer field.
- In the Settings tab, enter the site key found in your Google reCAPTCHA admin console settings.
- Set up the color mode and sizing of your widget.
- Click Preview to check how the form looks on different screen sizes.
- Click Review and publish. If any errors occur, make necessary updates and try again.
