    Hi,

New forms composer allow you to create to an SMS optin, so you should create both, an email and a form (both related the same database).

    1) Create the form, select the SMS database. If you have the SMS number you can auto-populate option so the customer shoud not type the number)

    2) add the SMS information block to your form apply the correct settings (like Country code, opt-in campaign, show disclaimer, and other settings.

    3) Add style to confirmation page

    4) save and publish

    5) Create a new email based on SMS database (or query). Invite or ask for permission to the customer, add a link or button to published form.

    6) Send the email and automaticaly harvest the consent.

No, the consent is not "visible" into the database. (since you can have multiples SMS programs and have consent just for one or more, but not at all)

If you want to see wich contact has the content you should create a query of SMS database, then select Profile > Channel

On channel you can select is Opted in to: Then Select SMS and the program (Text to join or one way messaging program). Save and calculate and it will show you contacts with consent.

This is where I look on recepient record in Database. The Phone_SMS has a correct phone but no consent. When I query  all consents this recepient does not show in results.

Ok, I presume that PHONE_SMS is the field related to SMS, that is correct? I mean, I presume you have provisioned SMS by Acoustic, and The database is the SMS Database configured. (remember one single database are allowed to send SMS), you need to use always the same. And of course, I presume that you have an SMS program (text to join or one way messaging) active.

You can be sure on database settings > Mobile Settings

SMS PROGRAM (Into SMS menu > Campaigns)

Then: The consent is the given permission to send SMS for a particular phone number, if the SMS field is PHONE_SMS, in you image I can see that it is empty, so clearly you will not any consent. Remember, the consent is for the number, not for the contact. If you have one and then the number changes, you will nee to update the consent for the new number. (is the same if you have multiple SMS programs)

Other things that you need to know is the correct format for the number, in Argentina (my country) I need to add the international code + area code +  number (without +/0 or other home characters used to send or call a cell number).

You can invite people to update their number and the same time get the consent. But you always need the number first.

You can use my first instructios even the contact has the number or not, the contact will get your email, fill the phone number and the same time given the consent.

If my instructions are not clear I suggest you to read https://help.goacoustic.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043844574-Get-started-with-SMS-campaigns there is a lot of information about SMS campaigns and what you need to have to send SMS.

For last, I suggest to manualy add your email and send to yourselfe the email, then access to the form, and fill your cell number. Then check f the cell number is correctly added and check the consent.
