With advanced routing, you can redirect contacts to different paths in your program. This minimizes the flow and ensures you're always sending the right message, makes your program more efficient, and much easier to manage. As of March 12, 2019 contacts are now allowed to repeat a path they have been through before, making re-sends of unopened messages easy to implement. Did you know a simple resend of a message can increase your opens and clicks significantly?
Here's an example of how it works:
CityCool is holding an event for current customers. They want to send an invite, and for those that register to attend, send the confirmation information. If clients do not respond and register within a certain timeframe, they want to resend the invite using a variety of channels, but still have a single confirmation path.
Did you know?
Q: Why can't I delete objects after I activated the program the first time?
A: Now you can!!! As of Oct 2019. Any active contacts on that object will be deleted too, but we plan to add a move to function next year.
Q: Why are my contacts not moving forward?
A: Make sure that all of the objects in your flow are configured, have rules on each path, and are connected in the flow with a solid connector line, not dashed and show a blue arrow. If using the new redirect action, it should be connected to a source and sent to configured destination that does not have be within the same flow. Contacts can now also repeat a path they have already been through.
Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!
