Through the new feature, offline replay, Data Export customers now have the ability to download and package visitor sessions directly from Replay and can even view sessions offline without infrastructure requirements.
1. You’re on your way out the door when duty calls!
You’ve been planning this vacation for months, so the timing couldn’t be worse. Just as you’re walking out the door (visions of margaritas in your head), your boss informs you that several customers are complaining about their checkout experience on a recently updated app.
You’re meeting your spouse at the airport in an hour, you simply don’t have time to analyze the sessions. Then you remember… offline replay!
You use session search to quickly find the sessions where visitors were struggling and open the sessions in replay.
Then you click the Download for offline replay icon (available for free to all customers that have the Data Export feature!).
In a matter of minutes, you’re able to download the sessions to your computer and then head out the door.
On the cab ride to the airport, you open the sessions and replay them in a browser – no internet connection required! You quickly identify the problem and shoot an email to your boss explaining the best course of action.
You shut down your laptop just as you are pulling into the airport. With offline replay you were able to analyze visitor sessions from inside of a taxicab without being connected to the internet.
The margarita’s resume their dance inside your head, and you can start your vacation knowing you’ve helped your company.
2. Legally speaking, we’ve got you covered!
Things were getting pretty heated with online customer X.
The threat of legal action had morphed from “not-very-likely” a few weeks ago, to “Uh-oh, call the lawyers” today.
Members of your legal department have had several calls with the corporate lawyer – and they’ve explained the situation verbally and in documentation.
Your company’s lawyer indicates that if he could view online customer x’s session, it might help. “A picture is worth a thousand words, but a video just might help us avoid costly litigation”.
As a Data Export customer, you have access to the new offline replay feature.
You use session search to find the session for online customer x. You open the session in replay and use Download for offline replay to save the session as a compressed .zip file to your computer.
You attach the zip file to an email and send it to your company’s lawyer.
In a matter of minutes, the lawyer is able extract the sessions from the zip file and replay it in web browser. No connection to Experience Analytics -- not a problem with offline replay!
In viewing the session, your lawyer gains additional insight into the dispute and is able to help the company avoid court!
Offline replay saves the day (and saves you money!)
