Multiple questions - Automations & Scoring models
Hi,
It's been a while since I used Silverpop... .err.. IBM Watson Campaign automation.. err.. Acoustic Campaign... just showing my age here ;)
I've got a couple of questions that I hope you can help with:
Automations - how would I create a scenario where I pull out a contact from an automation when his/her score reaches a particular value?
Scoring models - Can't Landing Pages not be used for Behavioural scoring? I want to achieve this:
- Add a score when someone clicks on a link to a PDF
- Add a score when someone clicks a link to an email address
Thanks,
Lawrence

Hey Lawrence,
Welcome back and welcome to the community. A couple things here that might be able to help:
First, regarding Programs and how to pull someone out once a score reaches a certain point. You can do this with a decision block, and keep in mind, with the addition of redirects, you can now perform looping. We are working diligently on releasing a global program variable that will remove a contact once they meet the rule, however this is planed for later this year. However, with decision blocks you can achieve this today.
Second when creating scoring models I'm not sure where these links are so I'll include two different solutions.
1) Links on a landing page or web page:
Add the Web Tracking Domain as well as the Web Tracking pixels and JavaScript library. Then you can utilize the custom event tracking and link tracking to make this happen. So for the PDF you would use the download a file event and the email can utilize the link click event. Then you can utilize these inside the scoring models respectively. Be sure to use Clickstream hyperlinks in your emails to pass over the obfuscated recipient id to track the contact.
2) Emails
Simply make sure the links are tracked hyperlinks or Email (mailto) these will show respectively inside the scoring model under the email behaviors.Hope this helps!

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for your response.
I'll have to design the automation with decision points before every email being sent - no worries.
A bit more info about the other question"
Add a score when someone clicks on a link to a PDFThis is on a landing page built with Acoustic.
When creating Behavioral Score, I have options for:
- Email Behavior
- Program Behavior
- Web Form Behavior
- Web Site Behavior
Just to confirm, this last option also includes Landing Pages built in Acoustic?
Assuming this it the case, if I have a link on the landing page to a PDF with a Link Name defined as PDF_DOWNLOAD, which option do I need to use?
'Clicked a link on a website'
'Downloaded a file'Add a score when someone clicks a link to an email address
This relates to the same landing page where one of the links is a mailto: one.
I need to use the 'Clicked a link on a website' option, right?
One more about emails. The email I'm referencing (see below) does not have those to links circle which are appearing in the scoring rule workflow. Also, some are missing altogether. It's like I'm referencing another email... but I checked and re-checked.

Hey Lawrence,
For the PDF Download
If you are using the hyperlink type "link to file" then you'll want to use "downloaded a file" if you are hosting the pdf somewhere else and not inside of Acoustic, you'll want to use "Clicked link on a website"
For the mail to links
Use the "Clicked link on a website" and use the value inside of the html attribute, name.
In regards to the email links being different in the scoring model vs on the email, please open a support ticket, by clicking here, as they will be able to better assist you and possibly request access to your org to find what may be happening.

Hi,
Thanks, that was useful.
Can you please double check what you said earlier:
2) EmailsSimply make sure the links are tracked hyperlinks or Email (mailto) these will show respectively inside the scoring model under the email behaviors.
I'm not seeing these - the mailto links - even when I'm trying to create a query.
Thanks,

Hey Lawrence,
The email section pertains to the hyperlink types inside of an email.
In regards to using the behaviors in scoring models or queries these are just links. So for Email Behavior you simply choose "Clicked a Link in an Email" and then choose the specific link. For Web Site Behavior you choose "Clicked a link on a web site" and enter the name of the link.

Hi Ryan,
I get that.
I have named an email link as XYZ but when I go to choose that specific link I don't see it in the list.
As a test, I changed the names to all tracked web links and saw the changes reflected in the list. But still no sign of the email link.
Can you confirm that email links set in an email (so mailto: links) can be used in queries with the Email Behavior conditions?
