New in Experience Analytics (Tealeaf) on-premises: Save important sessions to spend more time analyzing
- No more frantically archiving sessions offline “just to be sure” they are available to developers and fraud investigators
- No more wondering how much time remains before a session expires
- No more guessing if your stakeholders changed their mind about saving a session before its expiration date.
After numerous conversations and reviewing your requests, we are happy to announce that a new capability, Extended Session Retention, is coming to our on-premises v10.1 release. This release is targeted for July 2020. With this new feature, you will now be equipped to save any important sessions before they are set to expire.
With the v10.1 release, users of Experience Analytics (Tealeaf) on-premises will see the Extended Session Retention feature under the ‘actions’ column of the ‘session list’ as well as in the navigation bar in the ‘replay’ view. Continue to scroll down to get a sneak peek into what the feature will look like.
Clearly identify the expiration date of each session. Sessions expiring within one week are highlighted in red.
Hover over the ‘actions’ icons to do more.
You can extend your session expiration using the selector buttons.
You can also extend a session as you replay it.
As you prepare for the release of our new Extended Session Retention feature, here are few things to consider:
Question |
Answer |
How does the selective deletion feature impact this new feature? |
Selective deletion feature (GDPR) will continue to work as designed regardless of if the session expiration date was changed. |
What if a session is already in the queue to be trimmed? |
Once a session is in trim queue, the expiration cannot be changed. |
How many days can a session be preserved? |
Sessions can be retained for a maximum of 90 days from the session date. Future updates are planned to allow admins more flexibility in managing settings such as this. |
When setting session expiration, do I need to know the default canister (server) trim date? |
No, the expiration date for each session is clearly visible in both replay and sessions lists. |
