Push Captured Form Data from Non-Acoustic Form to Campaign Database via API

We have both Acoustic Campaign and Exchange and are looking for the best way to push data collected from an external non-Acoustic web form to our contact database in Campaign. Upon the external form submit, we'd ideally like the data to not only be pushed to the link Campaign database (adding or updating a contact record), but the form submit action would also update any cookie parameters for future behavioral tracking.

We've reviewed all of the documentation that seems to be out there, but we can't find anything detailing how this should be done. Does anyone have any references or examples of how this has been done previously?

The form is a basic, First Name, Last Name, Email set of field
