Composer for email is here!
Create emails with our drag-and-drop editor, our beautifully designed templates, or your own HTML. Our contents blocks are an easy way to design an email without any technical knowledge, so try it out by dragging text, image, button, or social blocks (just to name a few). If you already have HTML for your emails, you can add it directly into the editor and instantly preview and make modifications in real time. If you’re not sure how to begin, browse our templates to get some inspiration. We’ve redesigned them to make them responsive and easy to use. You can even use these templates with our drag-and-drop editor to build your best email campaign. We’re still fine tuning dynamic content, and it will be arriving later this winter. Check out our brand new email resources to help you get up and running.
Cordova SDK version 3.8.4 released

The end of daylight saving time is coming!
This is a reminder that the end of daylight saving time is on November 7, 2021, at 2am.
The end of daylight saving time affects Campaign customers who
- Use the classic query structure for relational tables: Compare the query and classic query builders
- Use date comparison criteria in classic queries: Timestamp fields and comparisons in classic queries
- Schedule emails between 11 pm and 1 am GMT-5, where the date comparison could be affected or change at midnight.
Our original relational table classic query structure does not honor daylight saving time and cannot be modified to do so. But don't worry! Our child relational table query can be used instead. Contact our support team to get it enabled for your organization. If this query is not enabled for your organization, be aware that emails with relational table classic query markups using date comparison criteria and are scheduled to send between 11pm November 6 - 1am November 7 may cause "No rows found" errors. This is because the date calculation crosses over to the next day after midnight during the send time. Instructions are available on customizing the markup for "No Rows Found" at Relational table data and emails.
The following suggestions can help alleviate any headaches when sending your emails during this time:
- Request the child relational table feature and relational table new query structure be enabled for your Campaign organization. The new query structure is a sub feature for child relational tables and is not affected by the end of daylight saving time. See Child relational tables.
- Schedule and allow time for sending date criteria dependent emails before 11 pm or after 1 am GMT-5. If this is when you choose to send, keep this practice in place until the beginning of daylight saving time in 2022 and optimize your email send time for the GMT-4 time zone.

Manage your DLL domain whitelist with APIs
Campaign's Dynamic Link Leader domain whitelist (DLL whitelist) feature allows you to add your redirect domains for security validation. You can now manage and maintain your DLL whitelist domains with APIs. You can use these APIs to return the list of domains, add or delete a domain. For more information, see DLL whitelist APIs.
TIBCO Scribe Migration
TIBCO is migrating their Scribe Online Organizations and users to the new TIBCO Cloud Integration (TCI) platform. This migration is an upgrade for all users. Your user experience will improve and you’ll receive continued support from TIBCO. We will begin migrating selected Scribe organizations in late October and early November. We will keep migrations on hold during the Holidays season (mid-November 2021 to mid-January 2022).
For more information, read the Acoustic Campaign TIBCO Scribe Migration article.

Composer for email personalization update
We’ve made an update to personalization for composer for emails. Instead of formatting as a token, the entire personalization block displays, like %% field_name%%. This change will resolve issues related to formatting, and in the future, the rendering will be updated back to the token.
Search contacts in a program
There may come situations when you will want to check where an individual contact is within a program. With the new search feature, you can find and view contact-level information for each step and element in your program. For more details and a step-by-step manual, go to Search contacts in a program.

Content library updates
Today, for composer customers, we updated our look and feel to the content library. Now, you can manage assets, see where they’re used, annotate and comment, as well as delete them. When you delete assets they are removed only from the content library and not from existing emails, templates, and already sent mailings. We’ve also added new AI tagging by AWS Rekognition and AWS Comprehend.
New name, new updates
Message composer is now composer for email. Today, we are upgrading our composer with a new user interface, enhanced power and performance, and new functionality including additional social icons, a new Shutterstock image editor, and text styles like superscript, subscript, and strikeout.
User IP validation
Now, Campaign organization administrators can enable or disable user IP validation at the organizational level. Edit this update by going to Settings > Administration > Security settings > Access restrictions.

Message composer now supports folders
When creating an email you have the option to specify the folder where your email will be stored. The folder structure of where you are currently working will automatically populate when you create a new email. You can still move emails after creation like you normally would.

Say goodbye to shared shortcodes (US only)
The SMS landscape in the US is undergoing some big changes; carriers are on their way to ban shared short codes. Today, major carriers are no longer provisioning new shared short codes. When it comes to stopping the use of the already provisioned shared short codes, those timelines are not definitive.
In light of these changes in the US SMS landscape, we decided to make our text messaging offering more robust. In addition to offering dedicated shortcodes (DSC) and toll-free numbers (TFN), we now incorporated 10DLC (10-digit-long-codes), which provide a middle ground between DSC and TFN in terms of throughput and cost. Read more about the available options in our article Types of SMS codes available in the US.

Message composer updates
Transact and automated message groups now support message composer (beta) emails. To work with automated messages and message groups go to Automation > Automated messages.
We released an update to the Get Mailing Templates API. The API now adds the message composer (beta) or content builder emails directly to automated message groups.
Unica Campaign customers will now see message composer (beta) emails in their flowcharts for Light’s Out campaigns.
As requested by our customers, we’ve added a new Google font: Montserrat. Keep in mind only specific email clients support web-based fonts; message composer (beta) will always add fall back fonts if the email client does not support web-based fonts.
Deliverability dashboard update
We’ve improved the deliverability dashboard to only show metrics for each dedicated sending IP specific to your Campaign organization. Previously, the deliverability dashboard would display metrics for each dedicated IP address registered to your account. This will not impact most organizations, but it will be noticeable for agency customers or any customer that manages multiple organizations under the same billing account.

Updated support for ScheduleMailing API
You can now specify via API if Acoustic Campaign should pre-process the contact source before send time. If these details are not included, the contact source will be evaluated for eligible recipients at the mailing’s scheduled send time. You can find more details in our developer experience here.
Added ability to manage permissions in your mobile app
Google's policy may impact your mobile applications that use Device Location Awareness capability. Applications published to the Google Play Store using background permissions will require approval as part of Google's Safer and More Transparent Access to User Location. Please read and consider Google's policies and how they impact your application.
Currently, the Acoustic Android SDK requires location permissions as part of the default settings in the manifest. These permissions impact Google's approval requirement for your application. You may edit and remove required permissions prior to releasing your application with reduced functionality.
Anomaly detection for individual emails in a program
Anomaly detection is now available in a more detailed view for each individual email in your program. Go to the Metrics tab in programs canvas to see a list of emails with detected anomalies and the number of anomalies. To get a more detailed view of anomalies for each email, click the email name in the program Metrics panel. You can find more details for how to use this feature here.
Blind carbon copy (BCC) for Transact
Transact BCC capabilities have been updated to support having two BCC email addresses in a single request instead of one. You can find more details in our developer experience here.
