New SMS composer launch
SMS customers have a new, in-depth, modern way to build SMS messages. You can preview messages on iOS and Android devices, such as phones and watches, and send a test before sending or activating your message. Access the new composer on the main navigation in SMS messages. For US and Canadian customers, we now have MMS capabilities. You can enrich your SMS campaigns with images, video, or audio content by attaching a file when you create your message.

March 2022
Daylight saving time is coming!
This is a reminder that daylight saving time begins on March 13, 2022, at 2 AM. The beginning of daylight saving time may affect some Campaign customers who:
- Use the classic query structure for relational tables: Compare the query and classic query builders
- Use date comparison criteria in classic queries: Timestamp fields and comparisons in classic queries
- Schedule emails between 11 pm and 1 am GMT-4, where the date comparison could be affected or change at midnight.
Our original relational table classic query structure does not honor daylight saving time changes and cannot be modified to do so. But don't worry! Our new child relational table query feature can be used instead. Contact our support team to get it enabled for your organization. If our new child relational table query feature is not enabled for your organization, be aware that the following may cause "No rows found" errors for recipients.
- emails with relational table classic query markups
- using date comparison criteria, i.e. "TODAY"
- scheduled to send between 11 PM March 12 - 1 AM March 13
This is because the date calculation, when using "TODAY" in the queries, could cross over to the next day after midnight during the scheduled send time.
The 2-hour time period of 11 pm to 1 am is to accommodate high-volume recipients targeted, in the millions, where the queries involved may take up to 2 hours to calculate and send the mailings.
Using a high volume of data for the RT DLL feature would be affected as well because it increases the time to complete the query calculation.
Instructions are available on customizing the markup for "No Rows Found" at Relational table data and emails
The following suggestions can help alleviate any headaches when sending\scheduling your emails during this time:
- Request the child relational table feature and relational table new query structure be enabled for your Campaign organization.
- The new query structure is a sub-feature for child relational tables and is not affected by daylight-saving time changes. See Child relational tables for more details.
- Schedule, and allow time for sending, date criteria-dependent emails before 11 pm or after 1 am GMT-4.
- If the period acknowledged is when you choose to schedule and send emails, regardless of the suggestions given, keep this practice in place until the end of daylight saving time in the fall of 2022.
Time to Live (TTL) feature for SMS messages
Campaign SMS introduces the TTL feature to limit the lifespan of the messages sent. You can now use the new API parameter to set a time limit in minutes for the messages. If the message has not been sent after the time limit expires, it will be discarded. For more information, see SMS external consent REST API and Transactional SMS REST API.

Push deliverability report for dropped and failed notifications
The push deliverability reporting feature now provides metrics for dropped and failed push notifications. You can also view the reasons why the push messages dropped or failed. New Universal Behavior events for the push dropped and push failed notifications are generated, and you can tie the corresponding mobile report for these events with PI and Exchange. For more information, see Push deliverability reporting for marketers.
Additional dynamic content rules for composer
Dynamic content for composer now includes an update to create dynamic rules using profile data fields and contact lists in rule sets. For example, you can build dynamic rule sets based on field-level information you know about your customers, like where they live. You can build dynamic rule sets on contact lists if you want to send dynamic content based on something static, like event attendance.
Another enhancement to the new rule builder is around selection and multi-selection fields. You will see a drop-down of all available values, making it even easier to build hyper-personalized content!
Look for more dynamic content updates in the coming weeks.
Relevance score for iOS 15 notifications
iOS 15 has introduced Relevance score to determine how messages are displayed in the Notification summary. Acoustic Campaign now supports the iOS 15 relevance score feature. You can now set a relevance score to prioritize the sorting order of the notifications from your app. For more information, see Create and send a mobile message.
Interruption levels for iOS 15 notifications
iOS 15 has introduced new interruption levels passive and time-sensitive in addition to the active and critical levels. Acoustic Campaign now supports these iOS 15 interruption levels. You can set the interruption level based on the message's priority and the desired deliverability timing. For more information, see Create and send a mobile message.

We’re excited to release dynamic content for composer for email. Dynamic content takes personalizing your emails to the next level.
