You can track the effectiveness of personalization for a rule, by capturing and reporting on the number of clicks received on the content rendered by that rule.
To determine if personalization strategy is effective, the marketer can compare the click rate on the personalized content versus the click rate for default content which was rendered for that zone. The default content is displayed to the visitors who do not match any of the published Rules for that zone, or if they belong to the Control group for that rule.
The performance reports in Acoustic Personalization provide the following metrics:
Display Count
Count of the number of times a rule was matched and a personalized content (or default content, depending on whether the visitor was a part of control group) corresponding to that rule was displayed on the channel
Click Count
Count of the number of times the visitors clicked a personalized content (or default content, depending on whether the visitor was a part of control group) displayed in the zone registered for personalization
Click Rate
Percentage of visitor clicks on the personalized content (or default content, depending on whether the visitor was a part of control group) out of the total number of clicks (on personalized or default content) for a zone registered for personalization.
The Click Count and Click Rate metrics are available only if a zone registered for personalization is also registered to track the clicks on that zone.
View performance report for rules
To view the performance reports, perform the following steps:
- For a published rule, click the View details menu option. The View details page opens.
- Click Performance details.
