Content personalization - also referred to as rule-based personalization - is the process of displaying content (images, text, videos, etc.) that is based on the visitor behavior on the channel.
Using Personalization, you can provide an enhanced channel experience that caters to the expectations and requirements of the visitor, by using their previous channel history as well as current behavior.
Acoustic Personalization provides you with advanced tools to refine and fine-tune the target audience. For example, you can choose to display image of an upcoming concert to a visitor who resides in New York and listens to music tracks of a particular music band. Next, based on whether the visitor has clicked this personalized image, you can offer further incentives (for example, premium passes) or band-specific merchandise, thus creating up-sale and cross-sale.
To create personalized content, you define the criteria (rules) that specify which content is to be shown to which type of visitor (segments) on which area of the channel (zones).
You can measure the impact of personalization on the channel by creating an A/B test and viewing the performance reports. You can also add a predetermined goal to your personalization.
