Tealeaf organization administrators are defined for each organization. The organization's administrator defines the company settings, enables the applications, and sets up user accounts.

The Acoustic provisioning team creates your product organization, creates the first application, and creates the organization administrator account. The person who is assigned to the organization administrator user account receives a welcome email and instructions on how to access the product. Provisioning must be complete before the organization administrator can perform any tasks.

As the organization administrator, you need to understand how your organization was provisioned, what applications are available, and how to create user accounts and assign user roles.

You can access the administrative features in by clicking User account name in the menu bar and selecting Admin.

As the organization administrator, you can create up to 25 applications.

Applications define the application name, application key, status, session timeout, data collection for your organization, and whether or not to receive Akamai data.

1. Log in as the Organization Administrator.
2. Select Admin.
3. Select Applications.
4. Click +.
5. Enter the application name.
6. Select the status.
   • To activate the application immediately, select Active.
   • To save the application criteria to use later, select Inactive.
7. Enter the description.
8. Enter the session timeout, which is the number of minutes before sessions end.

   The maximum time allowed is 60 minutes.

9. Enter the Data sampling rate %.
10. Select False as Disable data collection to collect data for this application.

    The default setting for Disable data collection is False, which allows all customer data to flow through the system.

    If you select True, customer data is not collected.

    There are situations where you might want to stop data from flowing through to . For example, you might want to disable data collection for the following reasons.
    • You might be early in the deployment stage and you don't want any PII or SPI to flow through to until you are comfortable with your privacy settings.
    • If you know your are going to exceed monthly MMI, you might want to stop traffic.
    • If you are receiving a denial of service or otherwise unplanned traffic spikes, you can disable data collection. When you disable data collection, the servers reject traffic as it comes in, and (for the Native SDK), notifies the client that data collection is disabled. This way the library on the client knows about the setting and stops generating and sending data as well.
11. Select whether you want to receive Akamai data into the data stream.
12. Click Create application. The application is displayed with the generated application key.
