You can use the Event Tester to test active events, saved events, and other attributes before you deploy them into your Tealeaf production environment.

Event tester can help you find common errors, such as:

• Unexpected recorded values in events
• Unexpected or unwanted number of hit occurrences
• Exception errors

1. Select Build.
2. Select Event Tester.
3. Select the event object or objects that you want to test.
4. Click Next.
5. Select up to 5 sessions on which to test the selected event object.

   You can select sessions from Saved Sessions or you can use Search Sessions to come up with list of sessions on which to test Events.

   1. Optional: From the list of saved sessions, you can select Replay sessions if you want to ensure that you have the correct session for the events or event objects that you are testing.

      Selecting Replay sessions takes you to the Replay view of Consolidated replay. You can use the breadcrumbs to return to the Event Tester.

6. Click Next to view the test results.

   If you used the Saved Sessions option to select one or more sessions, the Session Name (given when the session was saved to the Event Tester), is included as an identifier on the Test results page.

   Session Name is not included as an identifier on the Test results page when you use the Search Sessions option to select sessions.
