Acoustic Overstat overlays are rendered by target ID / element, which are fixed and constant.

When Acoustic Overstat determines an element is visible, it renders the data point, regardless of where the element resides on the page. So in this sense, overlays work with responsive web design. However, Acoustic Overstat does not differentiate whether the data is for a fully expanded page, or a page that is sized down. So, if a user re-sizes their browser and takes a snapshot of their responsive website, the rendered overly includes ALL the data for the screenview URL, (not just the screenview data from the re-sized browser).

Acoustic Overstat customers can explicitly set the screenview for each size and state of their site, so that the Web SDK can split the data accordingly.
