The download session feature provides an archive of the session for problem resolution, customer behavior analysis, dispute resolution, and other archiving needs.
The number of sessions a single user can download per day is determined by the Daily Quota for Ad hoc Session Export property on the Company settings page.
The maximum number of sessions that you can download in a 24 hour period is 50. Once you reach the maximum number, you need to wait 24 hours before you are allowed to download additional sessions.
Sessions are not retained indefinitely. There can be scenarios where you want to access and replay sessions beyond their retention date.
Because all static content is retrieved from servers, you cannot use the bypass proxy Replay rule (UseProxy=false) when you generate LTS sessions.
Important: Session download is available only if you have purchased the Data Export feature.

- Click Download session to start the download process or use the download icon in the last column of the row for the session you want to download.
The download process can take some time to complete. The process includes a preparation phase that needs to complete before you can download the session onto your computer.
- When a session download completes, click the download link from the "Ready to download" section of the download session status. The download link provides access to a PDF of the archived session. In the PDF, click the embedded LTS file attachment and save the LTS file to a directory on your computer.
Track download progress
You can track the progress of session downloads from the Download session status on the main header of the user interface.
The Download session status lists the sessions that are ready for download and the sessions that are still being prepared for download.
When the preparation phase for a session download completes, the counter, which displays above the Download session status, is incremented by one. The session ID is displayed under the Ready for download heading. Session IDs remain on the Download session status list for 24 hours.
Session IDs that display in the purple text indicate that the session was downloaded to your computer.
Sessions IDs that display in blue text indicate that the session was not downloaded to your computer.
When a session download completes, click the download link from the "Ready to download" section of the Download session status. The download link provides access to a PDF of the archived session. In the PDF, click the embedded LTS file attachment and save the LTS file to a directory on your computer.
You can use the Session upload feature to replay the archived session.
Retrieving content from an LTS session
There is a configuration setting in the replay that controls how static content is retrieved for LTS sessions.
When Retrieve static content for LTS session replay is enabled, LTS uses the static content from the LTS file, but can go to the outside network to retrieve assets that have failed to download during the LTS creation. When enabled, all the rules are honored, even the bypass proxy rule (UseProxy url=“.*” use=“false”).
When Retrieve static content for LTS session replay is disabled, LTS replay does not retrieve static content from the outside network and only uses static content from the LTS file.
