Krysta, a content assembler at CityCool, needs to create a personalized site to target certain people to buy the latest Camera. Krysta's goal is to increase the cart value by promoting Cameras on their website by using Acoustic Personalization. Krysta creates a rule for the zone based on visitor’s behavior on the channel. Krysta uses the Add condition in the rule builder to add a rule.
Example: Create a condition using behavioral events
Krysta creates a segment based on the following condition and selects the attribute as visitor's behavior:
- A visitor who adds product item to the cart with product name that contains a word Camera
- In the last 2 days and at least three times
Note The default value for Algorithm is Default. In case you want to change it to Most recent, click the Most recent radio button.
Select the following values in the Rule Builder:
- From the Attribute list, select Add Item to Cart.
- From the Time frame, select Days. Enter 2 in the input field.
- From the Frequency, select At least. Enter 3 in the input field.
Attention If you select the Most recent algorithm, the Frequency field is not available.
- Attribute is a user behavior or contextual information using which your channel can be personalized.
- Time frame is the time period during which user performs an action on the page or the zone.
- Frequency is the number of times a user performs an action on the page or the zone.
Note The default value for Time frame attribute is "in the past 1 day". The default value for Frequency attribute is at least 1 time. You cannot specify a value of 0 (zero) for these attributes.
- Click Add interaction attribute.
- From the Interaction attribute, select Product name.
- From the Operator list, select contains.
- In the Value field, enter Camera.
For more information, see Create a segment
Krysta saves the segment and uses that segment in a rule. If the rule matches a visitor's behavior on the website, the personalized content is displayed on the website.
