You can select or deselect the metrics that anomaly detection uses to calculate contributing factors.
In most cases, there is no need to change to the contributing factor metrics used by anomaly detection. In other cases, you might want to see other contributing factors besides the obvious ones.
For example, overall session count is closely associated with the total incoming revenue metric. But sometimes you might want to deselect session count as a metric, to see what other (less obvious) factor is contributing to an unusual drop in revenue.
Use the following procedure to select or deselect contributing factor metrics.
- Open the report that has metrics enabled with anomaly detection.
- Select View by > Anomaly to open the report in the anomaly detection view.
- Click the Select Metrics As Contributing Factors icon in the upper right corner of the report.
- Select or deselect the metrics.
- Click Apply.
A progress indicator for applying the change is displayed.
Your selections are factored into the anomaly detection calculations.
